TUCSON- A 19-year-old man died in a single vehicle accident early Saturday morning on Tucson's south side.
According to Tucson Police Sergeant Chris Widmer, a 2001 Chevy Tahoe was westbound on West Valencia Road near South Santa Clara Avenue just before 4 a.m., when the vehicle hit the median curb several times, causing the vehicle to rollover.
19-year-old Francisco Yanez was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Four other occupants were in the vehicle, including the 20-year-old driver and an 18-year-old male passenger who were transported to the hospital in serious condition.
An additional 19-year-old male and 17-year-old male were transported with minor injuries.
The driver remains in the hospital, but is expected to survive. Widmer says his arrest is pending.
According to Widmer, alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the accident.
