TUCSON - Rounding out the weekend with our nineteenth straight above average day.
Tucson was able to reach 78 this afternoon keeping the above streak alive, according to Meteorologist John Patrick. A few degrees of cooling is expected tomorrow as a trough moves off to our north but a forecast high of 75 should do it to start the work week.
High pressure builds right back into the southwest bringing near record temperatures both Tuesday and Wednesday. The warmest day of the week looks to peak on Wednesday with a high of 82, the record for December 5 is 83.
By late in the week another pattern change is expected as a trough nudges into the west coast. Temperatures start to drop back into the low 70s by this upcoming weekend but any moisture with this system stays well to our north.
