TUCSON - The 17th Annual Tucson Fire Fighters Chili Cook-Off is spicing up Downtown Tucson until 10 p.m. tonight!
Every year, Tucson Fire Fighters serve over 750 gallons (over 24,000 servings) of chili, attracting more than 10,000 people to the music and food festival, organizers state. This year's cook-off is again at Presidio Park in Downtown Tucson.
Whether you crave the spicy-hot, or looking for a vegetarian-friendly option, there are 30 booths offering a variety of chilis at $1 per cup.
All proceeds raised at the cook-off by the Tucson Fire Fighters Local 479 benefit the Tucson Fire Fighters Adopt-A-Family Program, which "assists needy families and children with clothing, food, basic necessities and toys throughout the holiday season," according to Tucson Fire officials.
News 4 Tucson Ryan Haarer was there this morning when setting up, and he'll be reporting on the festivities during News 4 Tucson at Noon - tune in!
