TUCSON - Multiple agencies including Drexel Heights Fire Department, Department of Public Safety and Border Patrol responded to a 10-car crash on I-19 near the San Xavier exit shortly after 6 AM.
Rural Metro FD transported one patient to UAMC with minor, non-life threatening injuries. We're told the pile-up happened when one vehicle hit a patch of ice and lost control. There were no further injuries since drivers were all told to be drive slowly and move with caution in that area.
The interstate is now open although there is still some residual traffic congestion.
