Farewell to summer, and our first taste of Fall in the forecast

TUCSON - Autumn finally arrives at 7:29 P.M. and most of the storms across Southern Arizona should be ending around the same time. A few isolated storms could still develop south and east of Metro Tucson on Tuesday, but as high pressure moves into the region we can expect drier and warmer weather. Highs on Tuesday and Wednesday will top off into the mid-90s, which is a couple of degrees above average for the beginning of Fall. The first signs of Fall will arrive late in the week as a cold front from the Pacific Northwest moves into the region. The passage of the front will cool temperatures down into the upper 80s This front may spark a couple of additional storms by the weekend, but cooler weather should be the primary impact. Happy Fall everyone!
