Record highs threatened next 48 hours

TUCSON - September temps reside over southern Arizona for the final weekend of October. High pressure near Las Vegas cranks temperatures 10-13° above average today, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Metro Tucson sees low to mid 90's for highs through Sunday. Tomorrow's record high of 94° stands a good chance at being reached. Ample sunshine is on tap through the weekend. A storm system passing north of the state cools temps down to the 80's early next week. Models indicate this cool down could be short-lived as another warming trend is possible heading into Halloween. Watch Jeff for a complete look at your News 4 Tucson forecast today at noon.
