Odile in the desert, didn't stand much of a chance for Tucson

TUCSON - The Flash Flood Watch for Pima and SE Pinal County has been allowed to expire. Flash Flood Watches continue for the rest of the region through 5 p.m. Thursday. The track of Odile turned into a position that placed the heaviest rain south and east of the city of Tucson. The heaviest rain today fell in Santa Cruz, Cochise and Graham Counties. The heaviest rain will continue to fall in the Cochise County area where most of the flooding has occured. Lingering moisture will be in place for the next several days and will help spawn scattered mainly afternoon thunderstorms, but the risk of widespread flash flooding has ended for Metro Tucson.
