  Defilippo's AIA Hardship Waiver Denied

  Sabino Senior Quarterback Gaven Defilippo's AIA Hardship Waiver for a 5th year of eligibility has been denied. The AIA called the hearing "unprecented" in which the home-schooled Defilippo was seeking a 5th year of eligibility. Defilippo can now file an appeal which will be heard by the AIA executive board on September 4th.

  Tucson Hunger Games at Shlomo & Vito's

  On Sunday night Shlomo & Vito's deli held the "Tucson Hunger Games." Local High School Football Teams competed for their chance to win $500. Players from each school competed in 4 Quarters with four rounds of food. MT View's Gabriel Rodriguez was the winner.

  The Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks open their 2012 Training Camp with a "chip" on their shoulder. The Nighthawks' have lost in the state-semifinals the last 2 season. This year they're looking to get over the hump and make it to the state title game.

  CDO Softball wins a second straight state title

  TEMPE - The CDO Softball team claimed its second straight state title and fifth in the last six years with an 11-9 win over Sunrise Mountain in eight innings on Monday night at Farrington Stadium.
