TUCSON - Salpointe junior Cameron Denson announced Saturday afternoon that he has committed to play football for the Arizona Wildcats.
The four-star recruit had offers from numerous Pac-12 schools as well as Notre Dame and Oklahoma.
This previous season Denson had over 2,000 yards of total offense for the Lancers playing quarterback and wide receiver, helping lead them to the state semi-finals in Division II.

After a three season hiatus, Jeff Scurran is returning to the high school football sidelines.
Scurran will be named the new head football coach at Catalina Foothills on Friday.
The Falcons were 0-10 this past season but Scurran knows all about turning struggling programs into winners, having done so at Sabino, Pima Community College and most recently Santa Rita.

As winning an online fan vote, Ironwood Ridge senior quarterback Tyler Williams has been selected as the News 4 Tucson High School Football Player of the Year for 2012.
Williams totaled nearly 2,500 yards of offense and 32 touchdowns in leading the Nighthawks to the first state championship in school history.

Tempe - The Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks beat Peoria Centennial 27-3 in tonight's Division II state title game at Sun Devil Stadium.. The Nighthawks won their 1st state title game in school history.
After leading 7-3 at the half Ironwood Ridge shutout Peoria Centennial in the 2nd half en route to the 27-3 win. Ironwood Ridge finishes the season 13-1.
