Tucson Living The Happy Saguaro - KVOA | KVOA.com | Tucson, Arizona

The Happy Saguaro of Oro Valley offers a lovely collection of hand-picked, regionally sourced pottery, metal garden decor, art and Native American jewelry.

Edgar Castillo, owner and curator of The Happy Saguaro brings over 30 years of experience of providing the highest quality regional pottery and décor for the distinguished home. Castillo travels regularly to Mexico, nearby states and Native American reservations and personally hand selects everything that is offered in his store. His travels take him along many of the same routes and communities that his father would take him along as a youth. Castillo is proud to carry on the family tradition today and continues to nurture his relationship with his long-term customers and artisans.

Until recently, The Happy Saguaro kept a presence for several years in a space at Old Tucson Studios. The gift shop saw great success and was frequented by tourists as well as local shoppers. However, Castillo wanted to open a store in Oro Valley to better serve his customers in that region.

Castillo moved the business to the valley and states, "It is a treat to provide a service to residents who have extreme pride of their community and are extremely supportive of shopping in Oro Valley.”
