Savethesaveable.com is an initiative of No Kill Pima County. The purpose of savethesaveable.com is to bring awareness to the most vulnerable dogs and cats at Pima Animal Care Center and ask the public to consider adopting, fostering or foster to adopting those shelter cats and dogs who continue to be most at risk.
Our community has come a long way in the past 5 years and Pima County’s municipal shelter has an 85% save rate (7/01/16- 6/30/17). The saveable pets that need our help have treatable medical illnesses, behavior concerns or simply are mature pets who are often overlooked and linger too long in the shelter. Any shelter stay is stressful on the body and spirit but lengthy stays take their toll on the animals.
Adopting or fostering an animal can make all the difference in that animal’s life and yours.
All healthy animals. All treatable animals. View Pima County's Saveable pets.
Visit savethesaveable.com and learn about common treatable conditions that some shelter pets have. View photos and bios of mature pets and those that have just been at the shelter too long.
Whether it is valley fever, ringworm or a preference to be the only pet, each animal has their own unique story to tell. Will you listen and foster or adopt today?
